The Bicycle Repair Collective offers complete repair services on most types of bicycles. Bring your bike in for diagnosis or an estimate. In addition to specific repairs such as wheel truing, gear adjustment, etc., we may suggest one of the repair packages described below. These cover the entire bicycle and address most safety and performance issues.

Standard Tune-up: $70 (labor only) Includes adjustment of brake and gear systems, wheel truing; and hub, bottom bracket, and headset adjustment. We clean the bike frame, lubricate external parts as needed, inflate tires to recommended pressure, make sure accessories are properly attached, and give the bike a real world test ride. Common replacement parts that may be needed are brake pads, cables, and tires or tubes.

Solvent cleaning of drive parts: $25 (labor only) Adds cleaning drive parts (chain, rear sprockets, and derailleur) to the services described above. The drive parts are examined for wear and replaced as needed.

Complete overhaul: $150 (labor only) This is a complete refurbishing of all the systems of the bicycle to "like new" condition. The overhaul includes all tune-up work and solvent cleaning, plus overhauling hub, bottom bracket, and headset bearings. Sealed cartridges are removed for cleaning and examination. Ball bearings and other worn bearing parts are replaced; other parts needed may be as described above in the tune-up. Best thing you can do for your bike!!
